I haven't written a new entry in more than a year. My lack of time mostly coincided with the birth of my 2nd girl but I'm also involved in a lot of business activity. I currently am living overseas in China building a support office. Like most small businesses, we are understaffed running on duct tape and shoestrings. So after years of mulling it over, I decided to pull the trigger to break out of the loop. The plan is to use cheap labor overseas to handle all the grunt work that nobody likes to do or has the time to do (testing, monitoring, documentation, etc) while we continue to hire more complex positions in the USA. Hopefully, this means we will be able to fill all the needed positions instead of picking and choosing what's the most urgent priority.
My near term goal for this blog is to polish & publish the draft entries I started back in the USA while also posting about my move overseas and how that is affecting my personal finances.
